Lieutenant Sonya Blade is an American female soldier who's member of the Special Forces Unit better known as Outer World Investigation Agency (OIA). Sonya Blade is a beautiful tough-as-nails lieutenant whose impulsiveness is catalyzed by her superior Major Jackson "Jax" Briggs. Sonya represents a very emancipated and headstrong woman, who takes cares about the lives of her friends and comrades with pride. Sonya wears a green sports bra with green pants and black boots. She wears an black upper arm band and the holster of her pants and groin are black. She has a long-standing enmity with Kano who is the killer of her former partner. She has the opportunity to fight against him on the bloody fighting tournament ''Mortal Kombat''. This is an ancient tournament where the best fighters of diffrent Realms fight against each other. The goal of the Outworld is the reward to invade legally the Earthrealms, when they win ten times. The Outworld has collected nine wins against Earthrealm till so far. Lord Rayden and his fighters try to stop the Outworld with reaching the final victory.

Powers and abilities

Sonya has the power to shoot pink-colored energy and has the ability to maneuver in air. Her abilities are vast, mostly based on agility and she's deadly and impressive due her Special Forces training. She is very fast in combat with quickly and effective kicks and strikes. She also uses gymnastics into movements as the Kartwheel Kick move and Scissor Split fatality. 

Signature moves

• Energy Rings: She fires two rings (one at normal height and one at lower level) in order to hit the opponent.
• Leg Grab: She does a handstand and grabs her opponent with her feet and throws her opponent on the ground. 
• Air Leg Throw: She tosses the opponent from the air with her legs to the ground. 
• Face Planter: She flies across the screen and punches her opponent in the air. 
• Inverted Bicycle Kick: She flies in the air with a series of kicks on the opponent. This can changed in a bike assault after doing an bicycle Kick like Liu Kang.
• Kartwheel: She does a cartwheel on her opponent and brings damage. The newest version is called cartwheel Bash and increases the damage.
• Flying Kick: She flies across the screen with a kick to the torso of opponent. 
• Kiss: She gives a kiss that brings the opponent irritating eyes. The newest version is the  Deadly Kiss and hits the opponent at a further distance. 
• Armed Forces: She crouches down and shoots a purplish pink projectile from her hands on the opponent.
• Arc Kick: She performs a kick with a arc through the air what enables her to hit the opponent in the air or on the ground. The newest version is the Arc Wave which travels with a faster speed and gives more damage.
• Air Drop: She can do a kick straight down after jumping in the air. The newest version Air Strikes will do multiple kicks on the way down.
• X-Ray Move - SF Beat Down: She initiates her x-ray movement with a series of punches and kicks and puts a leg grab on the opponent's neck and breaks it.

• Free-Fall Super Move: She bicycle-kicks her opponent before she uses a powerful energy ring to attack her opponent.
• Close Combat Mode: A/X Double Slap: She slaps you two times in the face.
• B/O: Arm Breaker: She spins you around and breaks your arm.
• X/Square: High Knee: She gives high knees in the stomach.
• Nose Breaker: The palm of her hand she uses to give an uppercut on the nose.
• Throw: She grabs her opponent by the shoulders and gives a knee to the person in the stomach. She spins around and gives another elbow in the stomach or flips the person over the shoulder.
• Knockdown: She knocks her opponent down on the ground with her shoulder.
• Tackle: She jumps onto her opponent and knocks the person on the ground. 

Fatalities

• Fire Kiss: This fatality is her trademark since she fights in Mortal Kombat. She gives a flaming kiss in the direction of her opponent and the person burns alive.
• Crush Kiss: One amazing purple glowing orb kiss of her gives the result that the opponent is left behind as a pile of bones in a puddle of blood.
• Slice Kiss: She conjures an energy ball that destroys the upper torso of her opponent once it makes contact.
• Scissor Split: She grabs her opponent's legs up and spread the legs apart until they won't go further. She uses this way to break her opponent's legs or brings nasty pain.
• Poison Kiss: She exhales a mystical poisonous mist to her opponent (complete with Valentine hearts) what leads to choking.
• Airborne Blade: She grabs her opponent's neck and stands upside-down while she breaks the neck.
• Kut-Throat: She puts a wire on her opponent's throat and she slices slowly with the wire around the neck till the head is off.

• Animality Hawk Rip: She turns into a giant hawk and carries her opponent into the air.
• Babality: She does her inverted bicycle kick and lands on her side and spins around throwing a tantrum.
